New in the shop this month.
‘Murgatroyd the Monster (A Northern Noir)’ is another
installment in the 'MONSTER' series and is to be released for
the 2013 Record Store day on the 20th of April. Released by
Blackest Rainbow records on clear vinyl in an edition of 300
copies.
The album is inspired by film noir, Yorkshire and Lancashire
dialect and slang and the excellent Red Riding (a television
adaptation of author David Peace's Red Riding Quartet).
The album can and should be considered as part radio play,
part celebration of northern English culture and an appreciation
of language. The words are printed in full on the back of the
sleeve to confuse and bemuse you further.
At long last the CD version of Sutekh Hexen's 'Breed in me
the Darkness - The Second Coming Mixes by Andrew Liles' is in
stock. The CD is housed in beautiful gatefold style digifle
packaging, printed throughout and with spot UV varnish. Pressing
is in an edition of 500.
NURSE WITH WOUND - SILVER BROMIDE AND XEROGRAPHY

SILVER BROMIDE
.. is the sister album to Xerography and is a 2 track L.P. released
in an edition of 125 copies, 98 of which are for sale. Each
copy is unique and handmade.
The first 80 copies of the 'Silver Bromide' record consist of
an antique early 20th century glass negative mounted on the
front sleeve. Each L.P. has a different glass negative. The
back cover consists of a unique collage made from the original
acetate photographic proofs from an selection of NWW albums
and CDs. The photographic images are printed on plastic and
were used in the production of NWW sleeves. All the images are
in negative and come from a vast array of releases including
'Merzbild Schwet', 'Thunder Perfect Mind', 'Rock and Roll Station',
'A Sucked Orange' and many others. The album cover is also signed
by Andrew Liles and Steven Stapleton and comes housed in a protective
screen-printed plastic sleeve.

released in an edition of 125 copies, 98 of which are for sale.
Each copy is unique and handmade.
The sleeve of Xerography comes with a unique collage using
the original acetate photographic proofs from an array of NWW
albums and CDs. The back cover is signed by Andrew Liles and
Steven Stapleton. The album cover comes housed in a screen printed
plastic sleeve.

Every effort will be made to package these records to have
a safe transit, including bubblewrap and stiffeners. Unfortunately
no UK mail carrier will insure glass at a reasonable cost so
we cannot take liability for any breakages.

Firstly
this month I would like to say how saddened I am by the news
that Kristian Kotarac of Nextera has died. Kristian was a great
supporter of my music and released the album 'My Long Accumulating
Discontent'. I met him several times on visits to Prague and
he will sorely missed.
New in the shop is the very sumptuous and deluxe
vinyl edition of 'BREED IN ME THE DARKNESS : THE SECOND COMING
MIXES'
This release features two new songs by Sutekh Hexen and remixes
of those songs by Andrew Liles.
The double LP comes in a heavy stock gatefold sleeve with spot
varnishing.
The B and C sides feature a 7” cut onto a 12” lacquer
with etched outer edges.
Standard Edition LP limited to 393 on 200gm Black Vinyl.
Limited Edition LP limited to 93 on 200gm Royal Haze Vinyl
Copies ordered from Andrew Liles are Ltd to 40 copies and are
signed with alternative numbering (i.e. 1/40).
Both editions look absolutely stunning.

We are trying to keep prices down as low as possible in these
hard times. All our orders include postage and packaging incorporated
into the price. Unfortunately prices have risen, this is reflected
in our current prices. This is due to phenomenal price increases
within the UK postal system. Postal prices have risen at least
least 30% for items posted within the UK and on international

NEW DOWNLOADS
MILKY MAIDENHEAD - this 13 minute song was
given away with the 'MONSTROUS MILKY MUG' limited edition novelty
mug and is now available as download to purchase.
'3 Eggs' is the latest addition of deleted recordings added
to the Andrew Liles download site.

This was a recording released in 2006 on Important Records
and was planned to coincide with a tour of the USA in 2005,
the US tour unfortunately never happened.
'3 Eggs' has been deleted for many years and this is the first
time and only site which has made the recording available for
download. This version of '3 Eggs' was remastered in 2012 by
Andrew Liles.
3 Eggs is Andrew Liles playing the Hafler Trio and Colin Potter,
Colin Potter playing the Hafler Trio and Andrew Liles and the
Hafler Trio playing Andrew Liles and Colin Potter… as
well as each individual being themselves.

NEW IN THE SHOP

'Ninki Nanka, Yumboes & Monsters' is another
installment in the 'MONSTER' series. The 'MONSTER' collection
aims to push musical boundaries and embrace a varied selection
of musical styles and influences.
'In 2008 I heard that Andrew W.K. was producing an album
by Lee 'Scratch' Perry. I knew Andrew through his contributions
both live and in the studio with Current 93. So being a fan
of 'Scratch' I pleaded to be sent the multi-tracks so that I
could make my own 'dub' mix purely for my own entertainment.
I ditched all the existing music and recorded my own then added
Mr. Perry's voice. I sent the results back to Andrew who seemed
to like them at the time and there was some talk of releasing
the mix some day, alas that day never arrived.'
Roll on 4 years and I have remixed those remixes,
removed any sign of Lee 'Scratch' Perry (due to legal reasons)
and added a further 3 'dub' mixes to an album called 'Ninki
Nanka, Yumboes & Monsters'. The album is on CD only.

2013 and BEYOND
'FAST FORWARD THROUGH TIME (ILLUSION FOUR)'
Completed over the past 18 months are a set of recordings based
on concepts on the passage of time, time travel and also in
part on the ideas of John von Neumann, specifically his ideas
on the self-reproducing universal constructor and his lecture
‘The General and Logical Theory of Automata’. More about von

As an antidote to the tongue-in-cheek, brash and
often extreme ‘Monster’ series the '... Through Time' discs
are a collection of very serious, austere, melodramatic and
romantic pieces primarily constructed from piano, piano strings,
gongs and cymbals.
There are four releases in the series. The fourth and final
part of the series is ‘Fast Forward Through Time (Illusion Four)’.
This will be a two track L.P. to be released by United Dairies
(the first vinyl release on the label in over 20 years). This
will be the first in the series and will be released 2013. The
front cover is by Babs Santini and is pictured above.
ORIGINAL ART
Recently there have been
some original drawings by Andrew added to the shop. They sold
out within 24 hours without any notification going out to the
wider public. New material will be added to the shop over the
