'My Long Accumulating Discontent' has now been released by Czech label Nextera. It is £11.00 - you can paypal if you so desire andrew@andrewliles.com

The press release describes the CD as '…possibly the strangest recording yet from Andrew Liles'.

The album features a few songs with Nick Mott and Aaron Moore from Volcano the Bear and one track with English vernacular culture expert Andrew King.

Originally the plan was to have the first 100 copies come with a CDR remix - this has now been abandoned - the remix may or may not be released as a standalone item at some future date.

The CD will ship from the week commencing 6th September.

Also available is a 10" by Andrew King that was (in part) mixed and produced by Andrew Liles. The version of 'The Captains Apprentice' that appears on this release is a completely reworked version of the one on 'My Long Accumulating Discontent'. I have a mere 8 copies for sale at £6.50 - again paypal if you would like a copy - andrew@andrewliles.com

JULY 2004
Not only is my incoming mail currently being checked by Her Majesties finest collection of moral guardians, social inadequates and thieves masquerading as customs officials (see below) it is also being stolen and lost. Therefore I advise customers (especially in the US) to pay extra insurance for parcels over the value of £30.

An astonishing amount of items I have posted out in the past year have been ‘lost’ at considerable expense to myself. Not only have items from my back-catalogue gone missing but masters, artwork and other musical correspondence i.e.: remix works and musical collaborations with other artists from assorted worldwide locations have all disappeared.

I will continue to offer free postage to anyone in the world, but for those of you who are buying the box set or stock in excess of £30 in value please consider asking for insured parcels. Unfortunately I can no longer be accountable for items that are going missing.

JUNE 2004
BC - UPDATE

Thanks to everyone who has bought the Bass Communion reconstruction of 'Ghosts on Magnetic Tape'.

There has been a slight delay on the posting out of the CD for the following reasons - I was out of the country for part of last week, there was a delay on the printing of one of the inserts and also with the production of the photos.

The LOMO photos often come out blurred and with strange colour formations, this is part of their 'charm'. But where the photos were developed the person processing the film took it upon themselves NOT to develop half of the photos, considering them to be out of focus and 'wrong'. Obviously the processing lab, not being used to anything other than holiday snaps and birthday parties used their misguided intuition not to develop the 'weird' pictures...

As a little recompense for the delay and for a bit of 'fun' 1 photo has been stamped with an Andrew Liles logo - if you have this unique item and can somehow prove you have it you could win a one off CDR of unreleased material.

Anyway - all this aside the majority of the orders have gone out today (June 14th) - the rest of them over the next couple - so expect your CD to arrive shortly. Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy the CD.

The mad rush to get a copy has calmed and some copies remain for those who have yet to order and would like a copy.

VITAL STATIC 6" IS NOW SOLD OUT - PLEASE DO NOT ORDER

PLEASE NOTE THE BASS COMMUNION CD HAS ALMOST SOLD OUT AFTER 24 HOURS - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU E-MAIL BEFORE PAYING AS THERE MAY BE NO COPIES LEFT.

This month sees the release of the BASS COMMUNION CD 'GHOSTS ON MAGNETIC TAPE - RECONSTRUCTION'
A full-length release that has been dissected, reorganised and reassembled by Andrew Liles.
Steven Wilson has described the 'Reconstruction' as "Even scarier than the original...which is saying something".
The edition available from AndrewLiles.com is limited to 200 copies. This numbered limited edition comes in a plastic wallet with 3 inserts one of which is signed by both Steven Wilson and Andrew Liles.
Further to this each copy comes with its own unique photograph - every copy is different. The photographs were made using a Lomo camera - a camera renowned for its vivid, blurred and unpredictable results.
The photographs were taken in Woodvale cemetery Brighton, UK where much of the field recordings incorporated in the
'Reconstruction' were taped. Woodvale cemetery is the resting place of the horror writer Count Stenbock and was
also the site of Aleister Crowley's infamous cremation.

This CD will ship Monday 7th June. There have been many pre-sales inquiries about this release so please order now to avoid disappointment.

Also a new section has been added to AndrewLiles.com. The page features some short films and several exclusive and forthcoming songs. The page also includes a yet to be released collaborative track 'Last Orders' -a song that features the many talents of Aaron Moore and Nick Mott from Volcano the Bear.

Finally the 6" Vital Static has now bar 3 copies - GONE and will be deleted FOREVER. So if you want a copy now is your very last chance.

Due to a mix-up and the disappearance of the master tapes and artwork in the middle of Ohio NEW YORK DOLL has been slightly delayed. Infraction Records have now got hold of the parcel containing all the data to press the CD and the item should be ready 'soon'.

APRIL 2004
A new extensive interview with Andrew Liles can be found here > Dusted Magazine

The Bass Communion reconstruction of 'Ghosts on Magnetic Tape' is going into production very soon and will be available from this website in a very limited edition 'art edition' in the next month or so.

Currently in process is a project remixing the excellent BASS COMMUNION CD ‘GHOSTS ON MAGNETIC TAPE’. All of the original five tracks are in the process of being remixed, redeveloped and re-arranged by Andrew Liles. This release will be available in the next few months.

Andrew Liles has now finished the double CD of 'NEW YORK DOLL' which should see the light of day in May 2004 on the US label Infraction. 98 minutes of strange and subtle ambience, calming yet uneasy arias interspersed with unexpected clicks and hollow thuds.'NEW YORK DOLL' is (in part) constructed from field recordings made in Sweden, the Czech Republic, France, USA and the UK. It is a transatlantic recording of parallel universes. This recording is numerologically accurate and anagrammatically active.

Also now finished and gearing up for release are two CDs - 'MOTHER GOOSE'S MELODY: OR SONNETS FOR THE CRADLE' and 'MY LONG ACCUMULATING DISCONTENT' By the end of May we should have a clearer picture as to when and by whom these CDs will be released. The above recordings feature amongst other friends and artists, Nick Mott and Aaron Moore of Volcano the Bear, Sion Orgon from the Thighpaulsandra band and Lord Bath, English nonconformist, maverick and aristocrat.

Also recently finished is a collaboration with Nigel Ayers of NOCTURNAL EMISSIONS fame. This piece is based on the work of legendary performance artist John Fare. ...and on the boil are a few remix projects, other collaborations, and a possible follow up to the 6" 'Vital Static' which is now bar a few copies almost sold out. To see what transpires and if you have the least bit interest watch this space

MARCH 2004
After many a trial and tribulation the DELUXE box set of 'MISCELLANY' is now complete - and will ship on March 1st.

The wooden box and lead plate (although the lead plate has been made!) have now been abandoned due to rising costs and the lackadaisical approach of some English 'craftsmen'. All roads to find an affordable and competent tradesman to build the said box have come to nihil.

The new improved 'MISCELLANY' box is made from extra thick art card with embossed initials. The set includes 13 CDRs (one of which is a double), all new artwork, extra material, exclusive live recordings and alternative mixes. The box features a comprehensive and unabridged collection of music spanning almost 20 years, the earliest track dating from 1984 - the latest 2002.

To reflect the change in packaging the new price is £45.00
For those with money, orders are being accepted now via pay pal - andrew@andrewliles.com
