1.) WHICH RECORD HAS HAD THE MOST PROFOUND INFLUENCE ON YOU?
It is difficult to choose only one. There were many records that influenced me a lot, for example: SPK ‘Leichenschrei’, Test Dept ‘Unacceptable Face of Freedom’, Swans ‘Children of God’, Cosey Fanni Tutti ‘Time to Tell’, Current 93 ‘Thunder Perfect Mind’, Coil ‘Music to play in the Dark’, Robert Wyatt ‘Rock Bottom’, Wire ‘154’ to mention just a few.

2.) HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU SPEND A WEEK RECORDING/PLAYING/CREATING?
When I have a good flow, I can work many hours every day, then I take a break for many months when I don’t even cross the threshold of my studio.

3.) WHICH OF YOUR OWN CREATIONS IS YOUR FAVOURITE?
It’s always my last one, so at this moment it’s my solo album record under the moniker FRETT – ‘The World as a Hologram’.

4.) WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST REGRET?
There are few but I try to regret nothing. The past is irrelevant, what happened can’t be changed so it’s better to focus on the present time. I probably focus on the future too often and this is something I regret later.

5.) WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELAX?
Spending my time in nature: cycling, mountain hiking, rafting and listening to records while drinking wine in my home.

6.) OTHER THAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHAT IS YOUR MOST CHERISHED POSSESSION?
A collection of my mother’s oil paintings.

(The amazing art of Teresa Kępowicz can be found here – http://kepowicz.com/galeria/)

7.) TELL ME THREE OF YOUR HEROES/HEROINES?
I don’t follow heroes/idols, most of them are falsely created, I try to learn from my mistakes and follow my own will. In my opinion there are many unknown heroes around us – all who dare to live their own life in harmony with themselves, being very often against society, trends and obligatory narrations.

8.) WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?
Wild nature, especially high mountains.

9.) IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE YOUR ART WHAT OCCUPATION DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE DOING?
Quantum physicist, that could be a fascinating adventure – even more abstract than art.

10.) IF THERE IS ONE THING THAT YOU WOULD WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT YOU HAVE NEVER CONVEYED IN AN INTERVIEW BEFORE WHAT WOULD THAT BE?
One day I’ll write a book ‘Festival from the backstage’, so be aware 😉
